Tying the Windsor knot |
The largest knot, triangular, works best
with narrower ties of lighter fabrics and full, wide spread collars. This knot will eliminate gaps between the collar and the tie, which is a common problem associated with spread collars. |
| | |
Step 1: Situate the tie so that the fuller end (A) is longer than the thinner end (B) and cross A over B.
| | |
Step 2: Bring A up through loop between the shirt collar and necktie.
| | |
Step3: Pull A underneath B and to the left, and back through the loop. |
|
| | |
Step 4: Bring A across the front of B from left to right.
| | |
Step 5: Pull A up through the loop.
| | |
Step 6: Bring A down through the knot in front.
| | |
Step 7: Using both hands, tighten the knot and draw the knot up and tight to the shirt collar.
